Also the Valley of nuraghi, in the area of Sassari, deserves a visit, especially the royal palace of Santu Antine, raised up in a territory populated since the pre-nuragic age, as proved by the presence of dolmen and domus de janas (in fact, the largest complex of this kind, Sant’Andrea Priu, is situated here).
The Valley is a plateau stretching between Torralba and Bonorva, crossed by an easy trail which permits to visit 15 interesting nuraghi in about 4/5 hours. But the hundreds of nuraghi present on the territory are all worth a visit, big or small, hidden in wild nature and confusing with the rocks and the landscape, standing still like guardians, protecting the eternal being of natural cycles.
